Mr & Mrs King,
Ferndown, Dorset

The taste of tap water varies greatly and many people now use jug filters or buy bottled water to improve the taste and odour of the water they drink. A TwinTec filter provides an easy and user friendly alternative at a lower cost. This neat unit will remove the unpleasant tastes and odours such as chlorine, and provide you with great tasting water from a separate drinking water tap.
"I am so happy with this water softener, the difference it has made is astonishing! Gone is the unsightly limescale on the shower glass and taps and cleaning is now a dream! My whole family have also commented on how soft their skin and hair feels after bathing. Definitely worth the investment, especially as it prolongs the life of all appliances, boiler, pipe work etc. Just wish I had gotten one sooner."

Twintec water filter installation
Fits neatly under your sink
Our TwinTec water filter fits neatly under your sink out of sight and provides easy access to easily replace the refill cartridge.
How does it work?
TwinTec filters work by treating tap water with activated carbon. This carbon is pre treated with extremely high temperatures to activate it so that it is able to absorb large amounts of impurities, (Detailed information on the absorption of individual impurities can be found here).

After a period of time the carbon becomes saturated. The key TwinTec feature is the ease of the cartridge replacement.
Twintec replacement water filter
Simply change the cartridge once a year
A new cartridge is sent to you every year. You simply unscrew and throw away the old one, screw in the new one, and continue using the filter for another year. It is that simple. No jugs, no bottles, just two minutes of your time once a year.
Protect your home & family with a water softener from Southern Softflow
It's common for water, particularly in hard water areas, to contain minerals such as magnesium and calcium. These enter the water as it travels through rocks and across the ground before entering our water supply. A common symptom of hard water is the powdery residue you may see in your home, known as limescale.

When water passes through a water softener, a process of ion exchange removes these minerals. This is done using a resin which sits inside the device and collects the minerals. The softener will regularly 'regenerate' itself by flushing salt through the resin to clean it. All you need to do is refill the salt - the softener does the rest for you.

Pure, fresh drinking water for you and your family

Millions of people drink softened water, the decision to do so is normally down to taste. Softened water complies with Drinking Water Regulations if it doesn’t exceed 200 mg/l, which it won’t unless you’re in an extremely hard area (hardness levels above 400 ppm).

When your water passes through the water softener, the minerals (calcium and magnesium) which can be harmful to your home and appliances are removed in a process called ion exchange. Although softened water poses no ill effects, some people prefer the taste of hard water. Depending on your plumbing system, your local dealer can advise on the install of a hard water tap for drinking purposes.
